Who are Julip?

Julip are a company who make amazingly realistic model horses. The first Julip horse was made in 1945, in chamois leather and were later made in latex with bendy legs. Loads of different horses have been made over the years. The models are 1/12th scale which is the main doll's house size. Today Julips are available in 2 types, Horse of The Year Range and Julip Originals. The H.O.Ys are more sturdy and so make good toys, whereas the Originals are more delicate and so are more of a collectable item.

 

My horses story

My own Julip horses were my favourite toys as a child. When I grew older, the Julips got stuffed into a cupboard, and left there for over 4 years. Thankfully the story does not have a sad ending. After visiting the Julip website and going on the J-Club message board I realised how great my Julips were, so out they came and now their aim in life is to be models on my website. Bless!! A happy ending!

I thought I'd best say a bit about myself, the website creater. My name is Skye and I'm 15 yrs old. My hobbies are dog training, schooling my horse and Julips.
